Games & Conversation

Last night, we got to spend time with good friends. The men played video games (yea, I guess, lol) and we women spent time conversing and watching Ella get into things/trouble.

Turns out, we women have something in common: we’re both content to be by ourselves, do things by ourselves, but there is no feeling of awkwardness if, and when, we hang out with others.

I don’t consider myself to be very social. It’s not in me to remember to call someone and say, “Hey, I’m gonna go do this. Wanna come?” But at the same time, I don’t mind hanging out with someone if they call and ask.

We talked the night away and it was almost 2am before she realized what time it was and they left.

Over games and good/great conversation, a mere acquaintance turns into friendship, even if hanging out constantly isn’t in either of us.

But this relationship is one I’ll keep. 🙂
