In Need of the Best

You ever settle for second best? Or for whatever just happens to come along?

You ever wish you hadn’t?

Impatience is a dreadful thing. It pushes us into spur of the moment decisions, gets us in trouble because we can’t wait, stresses us out because we’re anxious.

Hindsight’s 20/20 though and it’s usually the best way to view where we’ve been, what we’ve done, and how we arrived to where we’re at. All of these are tied in to settling for second best.

If we had the patience to wait and the ability to just trust, we’d probably settle for second best less often and settle for the best more often. Make sense?

Here’s to seeking the best, waiting for it, trusting it’s coming. Here’s to a patient heart, a patient mind, and a patient spirit. It isn’t always about rushing ahead. Sometimes it’s just about waiting.

The best is in the palm of God’s hands. The trick (for lack of a better word) is waiting for it.

So.

Wait for it…

Wait for it…

Wait for it.

(I’ll wait with you if it’ll help you.)
